Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Lifeguard to join our Defence Team. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool users and conducting lifeguard activities throughout the opening hours of the pool.

  • Conduct pool opening procedures, including removing pool covers, cleaning the pool and surrounds.
  • Place lane ropes in the pool and prepare all safety equipment.
  • Test the pool water and record the daily results in our management system.
  • Conduct lifeguard activities throughout the opening hours of the pool.
  • Undertake the rescue of any user as required in accordance with standard work instructions covered by certification.
  • Ensure all pool safety equipment and rescue equipment is available at all times.
  • Conduct pool closing procedures.
  • Manage access to swimming pools by entitled members only.

About You

  • You must hold a current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
  • You must hold a current Resuscitation Certificate.
  • You must hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • You must have a genuine passion for excellent customer service.
  • You must be suitable for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory).
  • Certificate III in Fitness is preferred.
