About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Central Coast Council. As a key member of our Water and Sewer Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the overall project management of planning, installation, contract management, commissioning, and asset management associated with water pumping stations, sewerage pump stations, treatment plants, and all other mechanical aspects for our Water and Sewer infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project teams to deliver service and infrastructure projects, achieving desired social, economic, and environmental outcomes for Central Coast Council.
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Council policies.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or solid experience in Project Management combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Extensive relevant experience in a mechanical project management-focussed role.
  • Experience performing mechanical support services in a Water and Sewer or related environment.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range of $99.7k - $119.6k plus 11.5% superannuation and 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance.
  • Permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight.
  • Hybrid and flexible working conditions.
  • Leaseback vehicle for official duties and private use.
