About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Campbelltown Hospital. As a critical care specialist, you will be at the forefront of patient care, providing specialized treatment and monitoring for individuals with life-threatening conditions.

The ICU is a fast-paced environment where collaboration is key. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of allied health and support services. Experience in the critical care space is desired, but not essential, as we have a well-supported orientation program to develop nurses ready for the next challenge.

As a critical care registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting thorough assessments, and developing and implementing individualized care plans. You will also be involved in education and training of junior staff members and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality patient care, conducting thorough assessments and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  2. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  3. Participate in education and training of junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  4. Contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Requirements
  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant specialty (ICU).
  3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
