Lead DevOps Practitioner

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Lead to drive the adoption of cutting-edge DevOps practices and elevate the capability of our operations and development teams across the organization.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will design and implement cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, and cost-optimised. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying cloud infrastructure environments for large and complex products through automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Development: Design, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure environments for large and complex products using CI/CD pipelines and IaC templates.
  • DevOps Framework Development: Implement, develop, and document standards, processes, and frameworks to support modern DevOps release deployments across all stages and iterations of the software development lifecycle.
  • System Design Leadership: Lead system design activities for strategic, large, and complex systems development programmes.
  • Information Security: Apply sound advice and guidance on Information Security practices ensuring that cloud solutions deployed are secure by design and embedded into solution architecture.
  • Integration and Testing: Leads integration work in line with agreed system and service design, measures, and monitors applications against development standards. Assesses risks and takes preventative action.
  • Requirements Gathering: Through business consultation and collaboration gathers requirements and identifies functional needs, defines, and implements cloud solutions as required.
  • Tech Evangelism: Remains up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, evaluates benefits of adopting into the department, implements, and drives adoption.
  • Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks related to cloud security, access controls, and privacy compliance/regulations. Collaborates with Security teams to implement controls, maintaining a high, compliant security posture.
