Job OverviewA Construction Manager at a leading company is responsible for coordinating the technical and administrative aspects of construction project delivery. Key duties include:
- Managing daily site operations, supporting technical coordination, and contributing to planning and procurement.
- Overseeing project documentation, assisting with subcontractor engagement, and driving construction quality through inspections and reporting.
- Collaborating with engineers, other consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design issues, manage technical queries, and ensure construction activities are delivered as specified.
- Mentoring junior team members.
Key Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction engineering on high-value projects.
- Solid understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, buildability, and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and interface with consultants, site teams, and suppliers.
- Understanding of procurement processes, cost control, and contract administration.
