Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Orthotist/Prosthetist to join our team in delivering high-quality orthotic and prosthetic services to patients.

This is a Grade 1 opportunity for a Full-time, Permanent position.

Austin Health is a major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in northeast Melbourne and statewide.

Our hospital is renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters of Clinical Prosthetic and Orthotics (or Bachelor equivalent) or relevant experience.
  • Eligible for AOPA membership with certification as an Orthotist / Prosthetist via CPD program fulfillment.
  • Knowledge of orthotic principles, particularly for vascular, orthopaedic, spinal and neurological patient groups.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including sound computer skills.
  • Ability to participate in a Saturday Service (rostered no more than 10 Saturdays per year).
