Senior Mental Health Practitioner

Mental Health Clinicians play a vital role in providing comprehensive clinical acute mental health care to young people and families. As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will support the provision of this care within the Orygen @ Home program. You will partner with young people and their families/carers to provide inpatient-like care within the home environment.
Our team provides 24/7 multidisciplinary mental health care for young people aged 12–25 and their families in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs. We offer tailored support, including mental and risk assessments, medication, therapy (CBT and other targeted approaches), family-inclusive care, vocational support, intensive outreach, and crisis intervention.
In this role, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and receive supervision and support through professional development. You will demonstrate advanced skills in mental health assessment, risk assessment, therapeutic interventions, least restrictive practices and improved outcomes, using evidence-based best practice.
You will also provide leadership and discipline-specific interventions and recovery-focused care in the home. Your ability to develop, implement and evaluate client-centred individual service plans, risk assessments and diagnostic formulations will be essential in this role.
