Lead CSSD Specialist

Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to take on a challenging role as Lead CSSD Specialist.

This exciting opportunity will be based at our Pimlico campus, supporting our evening shift from Monday to Friday. As the Lead CSSD Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of services to CSSD stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert guidance, coaching, and education to technicians within the CSSD unit.
  • Driving positive outcomes daily with a focus on quality of services and future planning.
  • Demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills as a technical expert within the CSSD unit.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the Townsville network and wider Mater network to support daily operations and organizational activities.
  • Fostering strong relationships and cooperation with peers and colleagues across various units and departments.
  • Leading daily staff huddles/meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Implementing and coordinating the education program for CSSD technicians.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of AS/NZS5369:2023 and compliance requirements. Additionally, excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Demonstrated people management and leadership experience in a CSSD setting is also required.
