Release Leadership

The key objective of this role is to manage and oversee the execution of enterprise-wide release activities. This will involve developing and implementing a robust framework for governing major ICT programs, ensuring seamless integration across business units, technical teams, and delivery groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining an integrated release calendar that synchronizes enterprise systems and large program deployments.
  • Coordinating release planning forums, facilitating go/no-go decisions, and conducting deployment readiness assessments.
  • Leading process uplift initiatives, enhancing documentation maturity, and aligning with ITIL, change, and transition frameworks.
  • Creating high-quality release documentation (procedures, runbooks, templates, decision logs) that meet enterprise standards.
  • Providing strategic oversight for releases within large ICT programs, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture, security, and operational readiness.
  • Identifying dependencies, risks, and impacts associated with major releases, and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on release risks and providing guidance on best practices.
  • Supporting and coaching project teams on effective release management techniques.
