Teacher of Design and Technology

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging planned learning experiences catering to diverse student needs.
  • Demonstrate qualifications and/or willingness to teach all levels of Design and Technology including Industrial Technology Timber, Food Technology, Graphics Technology and TAS.
  • Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment ensuring students are trained in and adhere to safety protocols for using tools and machinery.
  • Integrate technology and industry-standard software to enhance contemporary learning experiences.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation and critical thinking encouraging students to experiment with materials and techniques to develop unique solutions.
  • Utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress.
  • Employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback.
  • Support the inclusive religious and cultural environment for students.
  • Develop excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being.
