About the Role

The Principal Intel Security Advisor plays a critical role in providing industry-leading technical expertise and driving the delivery of key operational areas and projects within the cybersecurity team at Vero Insurance.

This position requires a thought-leader who can own, influence, and drive various aspects of security throughout the organization. The role may focus on multiple aspects of the security portfolio, including threat intelligence, incident response, and security awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cybersecurity intelligence to the business for threat management and incident response.
  • Lead technical investigations and hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Develop and implement automation and orchestration strategies to improve security operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a security-aware culture and provide security leadership and direction to the business.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of substantial hands-on IT security experience, with a strong background in threat intelligence, incident response, and security awareness.
  • Experience leading incident response, running high-performance detection/alerting systems, and performing technical investigations.
  • Expert knowledge of detection and alerting, incident response, technical investigations, hunting, threat intelligence, and automation.
  • IT and IT security experience within a large organization, with a strong understanding of security best practices and industry trends.
  • Specialized knowledge of tools, tactics, techniques, and processes of attackers, with active participation in industry IT security groups, forums, and information exchanges.
