Join a talented team of professionals in forensic accounting and litigation support. We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Australia Forensics, Litigation & Valuation Services (FLVS) team.

Job Description

As a Senior Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, providing expert analysis and testimony to clients. You will be responsible for directing staff, instructing them in work to be performed, reviewing their completed work and directing any necessary revisions or actions.

You will also be responsible for performing forensic financial analyses, building models, maintaining documents, discussing and outlining problems/issues with the Senior Manager, Director or Partner and then acting on the preferred advice. In addition, you will determine engagement timelines, in conjunction with the engagement lead, and instructs assistants in time management methods allowing them to efficiently and effectively accomplish the Firm's objectives.

Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day project activities; establishing appropriate leverage on project teams and assigning/manage project responsibilities to team members. You will also carry out the quantification of claims on behalf of Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Lawyers, and others. Analyze data and financial/non-financial information and apply a forensic approach to the work.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, a minimum of 3 years of public accounting or related experience and exam qualified with post-qualification experience as CA or ACA. They must also have a record of progressively increasing knowledge, skill, responsibility, and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete most engagements with minimum to no supervision
  • Assist in performing forensic financial analyses, building models, maintaining documents

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additionally, you should have a good understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in forensic accounting and litigation support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of public accounting or related experience
  • Exam qualified with post-qualification experience as CA or ACA
