Forensic Accounting Specialist

A key opportunity has arisen to join our growing team of forensic accountants, providing expertise in forensic financial analyses and litigation support.

About the Role
  • This is a challenging role that involves working with clients to investigate fraud, forensic accounting issues, or malfeasance. As a senior consultant, you will be responsible for directing staff, instructing them in work to be performed, reviewing their completed work, and directing any necessary revisions or actions.
Your Responsibilities
  • Complete most engagements with minimum to no supervision, taking ownership of project phases related to investigation, quantification of claims, and reporting.
  • Analyse data and financial / non-financial information, applying a forensic approach to your work and developing clear, concise reports.
  • Be flexible and responsive to client needs, being available for meetings at times and places stipulated by the client.
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships, participating in Firm business development efforts and representing the Firm at business and community functions.
  • Utilize computer skills and experience with accounting software, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of public accounting or related experience.
  • Candidates should be exam qualified with post-qualification experience as CA or ACA.
  • A record of progressively increasing knowledge, skill, responsibility, and independence.
  • Experience in forensic accounting and litigation support is strongly preferred.
  • Individuals in this position must have demonstrated computer skills and experience with accounting software.
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional business hours to meet client demands if required.
  • Confidence to handle confrontation, pressure, and deadlines.
  • Skilled at building relationships with others.
  • Able to work in Australia without sponsorship.
  • Fluency in English is required.
