Operating Theatre Specialist

At Northern Health Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled Operating Theatre Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced nurse to work in a fast-paced operating theatre environment. As an Operating Theatre Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and outcomes in accordance with professional codes of conduct, legal requirements, and organisational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality patient care and outcomes in a manner consistent with professional codes of conduct, legal requirements, and organisational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operation of the theatre.
- Develop and maintain skills and knowledge in peri-operative nursing practice to provide expert care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement within the operating theatre department.
Requirements:
- Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in Peri-operative Nursing or equivalent
- Highly developed and effective verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to assist and support change
- Minimum of 12 months operating theatre experience
