About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Consultant to join our Brisbane team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing contractual obligations and ensuring compliance with our service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support and advice to customers and stakeholders regarding their claims and projects.
  • Request supplier appointments and gather information to determine the cause and extent of claims, as well as quoted costs for repairs.
  • Manage assigned case loads and meet client expectations, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims.
  • Meet Crawford and client compliance requirements, working within Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and client service standards.
  • Produce high-quality and accurate written reports and maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to determine repair costs, repair activities, and causes of damage.
  • Resolve escalated issues during claims and undertake client liaison and relationship building.
  • Work effectively within a team environment, assisting fellow team members and sharing information to achieve team targets.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in contract administration, claims management, or loss adjusting.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and service providers.
  • Proven ability to take ownership and meet customer needs with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving, resolution, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and respond by developing appropriate actions.
  • Demonstrated claims acumen, sound judgment, and cost management awareness.
  • High standard of business English for written communication across traditional and electronic media.
  • Self-motivation, accountability for own achievement of required claim outcomes, and own contribution to team outcomes.
