About the Role

Aurecon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our NSW & ACT Water Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of water, wastewater, and/or recycled water treatment solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex water and wastewater projects across the entire lifecycle, including planning, options development, design, and construction.
  • Champion the delivery of sustainable and future-ready water infrastructure projects, focusing on innovation, circular economy, and carbon net zero.
  • Develop and produce process simulations, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), design documents, including reports, and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Apply your communication and people leadership skills to lead effective conversations with clients and stakeholders to solve complex issues in a technically sound and commercially viable manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external networks and lead business development opportunities, including tender responses.
  • Participate in industry organizations and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in water and wastewater engineering and pump station design.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in Process Engineering in the water industry, ideally in water and wastewater treatment, recycled, and/or advanced treatment.
  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • At least 7-10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia (highly desirable).
  • Sydney Water Competency (highly desirable).
