Dermatology Veterinary Nursing Specialist

The primary function of a veterinary nurse in the dermatology department involves delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with specialists to complete complex tasks. To excel in this position, it is essential to possess high-quality nursing skills, substantial experience, and the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge.
Effective communication with clients, providing outstanding customer service, and assisting the dermatologist throughout various consultations and procedures are critical aspects of this role.
- Administering intradermal testing for allergies
- Assisting with ear flushes, biopsies, laser surgery, MRI, hearing tests
- Coordinating consultations and discharges
- Engaging with clients via phone calls, emails, and follow-up
This position is ideal for a highly motivated veterinary nurse with excellent interpersonal and staff relationship skills, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and has experience working in a dynamic team setting.
A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent tertiary qualification is preferred. A minimum of two years' experience in general practice is required.
