Diagnostic Imaging Veterinary Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Diagnostic Imaging Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Brisbane.

  • Patient Care and Safety: Assist with patient induction, positioning, and monitoring during image acquisition. Ensure the well-being and safety of patients is maintained at all times.
  • Image Quality and Acquisition: Capture high-quality images, processed and transferred to the appropriate systems (PACS, Rx Works). Monitor and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot diagnostic imaging and anesthetic equipment to ensure it is properly functioning and safe for use.
  • Room Management: Manage stock levels, perform cleaning tasks, and maintain a safe and well-maintained imaging environment.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Manage patient information and complete necessary forms accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work effectively with imaging staff to achieve smooth image acquisition and correct documentation, including daily schedules and troubleshooting errors.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher qualification
  • Competence in monitoring anaesthetics
  • Experience in diagnostic imaging and knowledge of imaging equipment and procedures across multiple modalities preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
