Imaging Veterinary Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Imaging Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, ensuring accurate image acquisition and processing, and maintaining imaging equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional patient care and safety by assisting with patient induction, positioning, and monitoring during image acquisition.
  • Ensure high-quality images are captured, processed, and transferred to the appropriate systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging and anesthetic equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Manage stock levels, perform cleaning, and maintain a safe and well-maintained imaging environment.
  • Manage patient information and ensure all necessary forms are completed and updated.
  • Work collaboratively with imaging staff to ensure smooth image acquisition and correct documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher is required.
  • Competence in monitoring anaesthetics is essential.
  • Experience in diagnostic imaging and knowledge of imaging equipment and procedures across multiple modalities is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards are necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team are required.
