Staff Wellbeing Manager Role Summary

This is a key leadership role that focuses on promoting and enhancing the wellbeing of education staff. The successful applicant will lead the development and delivery of strategic wellbeing initiatives to drive positive change within the organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective wellbeing programs for education staff, addressing organisational and system-wide approaches to health and wellbeing.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate wellbeing initiatives, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse workforces.
  • Lead the wellbeing team in delivering high-quality services, including departmental programs and projects.
  • Manage a dispersed team of Regional Wellbeing Coordinators, fostering collaboration and coordinated service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice on wellbeing matters to senior leaders, managers and staff.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to implement wellbeing initiatives and represent the department effectively.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading wellbeing initiatives and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • A strong understanding of wellbeing principles and practices.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills, as well as a strong understanding of wellbeing principles and practices. They will be able to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and provide expert advice on wellbeing matters to senior leaders, managers and staff.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of education staff by developing and implementing wellbeing initiatives that promote their health and wellbeing. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
