Mining Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery and management of backfill to underground voids, as well as supervising surface paste and CHF plants and their associated activities.

Primary Objectives:

  • Ensure the successful delivery of backfill plans.
  • Manage backfill infrastructure, including reticulation systems, drainage, and material supplies.
  • Drive quality and continuous improvement through QA/QC checks, performance reporting, and process optimisation.
  • Lead safety and compliance efforts by promoting safety standards and conducting audits, inspections, and risk reviews.
  • Support training and development by mentoring team members.

Requirements:

  • A WorkSafe Supervisor's Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of backfilling processes, including CHF and / or pastefill.
  • Exposure to contractor mining operations.
  • Current C-class manual driver's licence.
