Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pathology Collector to join our team on Sydney's North Shore. As a Pathology Collector, you will be an essential team member working in collections centres and hospital settings, responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples and conducting basic tests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and process blood and non-blood samples in accordance with strict guidelines and procedures.
  • Conduct basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring, and prepare specimens for transportation to the laboratory.
  • Guide patients or caregivers on sampling procedures and provide high-quality patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient sample collection and processing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
