Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd seeks a seasoned Reliability Maintenance Engineering Director to lead its Engineering team in NSW, Australia. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering leader to join our team as a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Director. As the site lead for all Engineering matters within a building, you will be responsible for leading your team and building a culture of safety. You will also ensure statutory compliance requirements are followed to provide a safe working environment for all occupants of the building.

In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager and the EU Engineering team to plan for future growth. You will also participate in network-wide improvement initiatives and implement standards created elsewhere in the network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team and mentor direct reports, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Work with the site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement, record, and audit safety and statutory compliance programs.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure allocated headcount is filled with high-quality, experienced staff.
  • Implement standards validated by the AU Engineering team and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain equipment failure contingency plans and coordinate rehearsals with affected parties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience/2+ years of Amazon experience.
  • Relevant experience of Engineering team leadership, employee and performance management, and distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent mechanical or electrical field experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per annum (dependent on experience)About Us
