Community Mental Health Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our community mental health services. As Clinical Director, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric care and demonstrating clinical leadership within the Division of Mental Health Services.


This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong clinical leadership skills and a commitment to education, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and reflective feedback and learning.


The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing high-level psychiatric care and leading multidisciplinary teams in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct psychiatric clinical services to consumers of mental health
  • Lead community mental health teams in delivering high-quality clinical care to patients
  • Contribute to the body of professional knowledge through presentations and publications
  • Participate in professional development activities for the multidisciplinary mental health team
  • Adhere to the Authorised Psychiatrist and Clinical Director role provisions as per the Mental Health Act 2016
  • Provide supervision/teaching opportunities to Registrars and other professional staff
  • Demonstrate capacity to provide leadership in relation to research, learning, and evaluation activity
