Job Description

The opportunity to develop a career in civil construction is now available at Port Stephens Council. This role involves working across various teams, including construction, roads, and roadside & drainage, with the chance to gain experience on new projects, rehabilitation projects, and maintenance.

As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, learn from them, and contribute to the team's success. You will also have access to formal training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key responsibilities of this role include operating basic plant and equipment, performing general manual labor activities, and contributing to the team's goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS)
  • Access to reliable transport for attendance at work and external training providers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
