Cloud Project Manager Job Description

HRG is seeking an experienced Cloud Project Manager to lead cloud and telecommunications infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, telecommunications, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of projects within approved budgets and profitability targets.
  • Manage project costs, assess risks, and evaluate financial impacts to ensure projects meet customer satisfaction goals.
  • Initiate procurement processes and manage the selection of service providers.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface, identifying new business opportunities and extending current engagements.
  • Develop and manage project management plans in line with PMBOK standards and company processes.
  • Monitor project progress, KPIs, and milestones, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage internal project reviews and ensure high-quality customer reporting and project documentation.
  • Recognise and gain approval for any variations to project scope.
  • Optimise resource allocation and maintain constant communication with customers to resolve issues.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely customer input to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of project management experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong expertise in telecom networks, infrastructure, and network operations.
  • Proven experience in implementing Telco Cloud Networks.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong execution-focused mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Expertise in influencing and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in an international service delivery environment and managing remote resources.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into actionable business opportunities.

Desirable Skills:

  • PMI Certification.
  • Experience with Telecommunications Service Providers, particularly Optus.
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, and VIO Cloud Platforms.
  • Experience with Ericsson NFVI (CEE and SDI) and Rancher or Ericsson ECCD.
