Quantitative Solutions Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Quantitative Solutions Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As an Associate Director, you will be part of the Quantitative Solutions group, providing quantitative and analytical support to the Capital Structuring businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Develop innovative applications using our state-of-the-art Python based Beacon IDE to combine analytics, data, and graphics.
- Partner with various teams, including practitioners in Securitisation and Credit Portfolio Management, risk and finance disciplines, and technology teams.
- Plan and implement new initiatives to provide enhanced infrastructure to the teams in Capital Structuring.
- Analyse data and develop tools for end users to gain insights into the Bank's exposures.
- Design and develop more efficient ways of doing things.
- Collaborate effectively with the various teams to ensure systems and processes meet process, product, and technology requirements.
- Advanced Python knowledge and experience, or high levels of competence in other object-oriented languages.
- Strong knowledge and experience in financial modelling.
- Familiarity with web design is useful.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL databases, etc.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail with problem solving abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken communications skills with strong influencing and interpersonal abilities.
- A good understanding of financial markets is advantageous.
- Tertiary qualifications in a numerate, engineering and / or IT based discipline or relevant industry experience.
