Embedded Linux Software Architect

A distinguished opportunity has arisen for a Mandarin-speaking Embedded Linux expert to expand our reach in mission-critical industries. If you are passionate about embedded systems, proficient with software design and system debugging, this may be an exciting career move.

The Role

We seek a skilled professional to work on the server edition of Ubuntu, widely used in connected devices and industrial PCs. Our Ubuntu Core is state-of-the-art in security and resilience for high-end appliances. You will work with global brands in consumer and electronics, automotive, and robotics to bring security, management, and developer experience to the smallest Linux environments and devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology vision
  • Develop innovative solutions to address complex customer needs
  • Contribute to the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux development and maintenance
  • Provide market insights to key stakeholders and participate in refining generic solutions to unlock business opportunities
Requirements
  • Fluent in Mandarin and willing to travel regularly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Extensive Linux experience - Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Distribution/Packaging experience (deb, rpm, ...)
  • Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...)
  • Proficiency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Professional written and spoken English in addition to Mandarin
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
