
Compliance and Sustainability Specialist

The Compliance and Sustainability Specialist position plays a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting sustainable practices. The successful candidate will work closely with the team to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and implement solutions to enhance sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct compliance investigations and site inspections into potential regulatory breaches.
- Analyse and interpret complex information to support the division's work.
- Draft correspondence, briefings, decisions, notices, industry guidance, papers, and reports.
- Prepare recommendations for compliance and enforcement action.
- Provide project management support and manage aspects of projects.
- Work with stakeholders to remediate non-compliance and promote compliance.
About the Role:
This is a fixed-term position until September 2027, located at Bourke Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available. The Essential Services Commission is Victoria's independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries.
