Job Description

The Sustainability Policy Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization adheres to environmental and regulatory standards. This position requires effective coordination and oversight of sustainability initiatives, encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning aspects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with consultants and project teams to develop Environmental Social Impact Assessments (ESHIA) and Environmental Management Plans (EMP)
  • Foster Regulatory Compliance and implement Environmental Management Systems
  • Support the Senior Health, Environment, and Safety (SHE) Manager on environmental and regulatory activities and planning
  • Secure and track project permits and approvals to ensure compliance
  • Integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards into project design and execution
  • Guide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors on developing and implementing E&R plans
  • Monitor E&R performance and EMP implementation, identifying areas for improvement
  • Conduct site inspections and report any non-compliance issues
  • Prepare internal and external reports on E&R performance and progress
  • Coordinate training sessions, engage technical experts, and facilitate stakeholder communication
