About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to lead a wide variety of challenging projects, including condition assessment commentary on treatment plants and design work for major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
Requirements
  • Hold an accredited Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Design experience with knowledge of local water industry standards and local codes.
  • Proven ability to work in engineering and design modelling teams and manage projects to scope, budget and program.
  • Previous experience gained within a local engineering consultancy environment.
  • You are a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or have eligibility to apply for this accreditation.
