Job Title:

Sonographer - Medical Imaging Specialist


Overview:

This role is focused on providing high-level ultrasound services in a tertiary hospital setting. The successful applicant will be required to possess specialist knowledge and skills in ultrasound technology, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The position involves delivering novel, complex and crucial ultrasound services, requiring a high level of clinical expertise and problem-solving skills. The Sonographer will also be responsible for managing ultrasound service delivery and making independent professional judgements in solving problems and managing services.

This position may require rostered shifts outside of the hospital precinct at the Weston Creek Imaging Service, located at the Weston Creek Community Health Centre.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High-level specialist ultrasound knowledge and skills, including experience and professional leadership. Independent professional judgement in problem-solving and service management. Pre-employment National Police Check. Current registration under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011. Compliance with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
