About this roleWe're seeking an intermediate Hydraulic Engineer to contribute to our Brisbane team's diverse portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering and consulting skills, with a passion for learning and on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing hydraulic engineering design documentation from concept through to tender and construction phase, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, regulatory, and safety standards;
- Collaborating with other design teams and engineering disciplines to develop innovative project design solutions;
- Supporting the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, timeframe, and quality targets;
- Interfacing with relevant authorities and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution;
- Attending site inspections and collaborating with trade contractors to verify that designs are installed according to briefed requirements.
- Bachelor to Master level degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil or Building Services Engineering);
- 2 to 5+ years' industry experience within an Australian building services consulting engineering practice;
- Proven expertise across various building sectors;
- Professional Engineers registration (or working towards it);
- Experience with hydraulic engineering design and liaison with relevant authorities;
- Familiarity with relevant Australia Standards and Building Code of Australia;
- Excellent time management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills;
- Familiarity with Revit MEP, NavisWorks, and BIM would be advantageous but not essential.
