Job Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in grain reception at various operational sites. This position requires close collaboration with the Quality Superintendent to maintain and implement quality procedures that meet Bunge standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Quality Superintendent to guarantee that quality processes are executed according to standard.
  • Execute quality procedures based on established guidelines.
  • Maintain adequate staff resourcing to support grain sampling requirements at Bunge sites.
  • Revise, update, and implement processes and procedures covering transactional capture, sampling, and grading of grains, as well as equipment usage for sample stands.
  • Generate quality and transactional reports to facilitate information flow across business units (operations, logistics, and trade).
  • Train sample stand staff to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Update receival standards and implement changes at both sample stand and CSM transactional levels.
  • Serve as a point of contact for quality-related matters at the sample stand and sites.
  • Identify risks associated with grain quality at a site level and alert the wider business.
  • Monitor transactional entries into CSM and SAC for accuracy and data integrity.
  • Reconcile, amend, and improve the process of transactional data capture at sample stands.
  • Plan and maintain grain segregations based on business/export requirements.
  • Maintain sample stand equipment and calibrations.
  • Liaise with growers/clients regarding quality issues.
  • Develop knowledge of site procedures, processes, and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary degree in Science or Agriculture, preferred.
  • A valid Western Australian C-class driver's license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Advanced computer skills, including email and spreadsheet use.
  • In-depth understanding of receival standards, quality frameworks, and maintaining grain quality to meet export requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Capacity to work autonomously, problem-solve, and provide direction to staff within the quality department.
  • Understanding of internal procedures, processes, and policies.
Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per annum
