Overview of the Position
This position requires a professional traffic engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and innovative solutions to ensure the city's transport system is safe, efficient, and sustainable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into complex traffic management, road safety, parking, pedestrian, cyclist, and public transport issues.
- Review infrastructure design drawings to ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies.
- Develop and review signage and line marking plans.
- Undertake road safety audits, crash investigations, and speed limit reviews.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide input on policy development and implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience and knowledge working in the traffic and transport sector.
- Drivers licence class 'C' unrestricted.
- WHS Licence General Construction White Card.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and provide sound advice, options, and recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to form good working relationships with key stakeholders and service providers.
