Job Title: Power BI Developer

About the Role:
At Minutes to Seconds, we're looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team. As a Power BI Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, gather data, and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Connect to various data sources, such as SQL databases, Excel, and cloud platforms, to create integrated and dynamic reports.
  • Perform data transformations, create DAX queries, and optimize data models for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other team members to ensure the accuracy and consistency of reporting data.
  • Maintain data security, integrity, and governance in reports and dashboards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report performance, data accuracy, and visualization.
  • Stay up to date with the latest features and best practices of Power BI and other BI tools.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and report publishing.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and creating complex dashboards with interactive visualizations.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and optimize report performance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with additional BI tools (such as Tableau or Qlik) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with Power BI service administration and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of R or Python for advanced analytics is a plus.
  • Experience in working with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
