IT Desktop Support Role

As a member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our desktop users. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring systems, and supporting end-users. You will also be involved in proactive maintenance and administration of designated services, including implementation, configuration, and monitoring. Additionally, you will contribute to the resolution of operational problems by working collaboratively with virtual peers and provide user-facing operational support for desktops and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance to desktop users via phone, email, or remote access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Configure and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced IT environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to build relationships through strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
