About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to take ownership of the financial management of the business. As a hands-on Senior Finance Leader, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, improving finance functions, and leading a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial management strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure accurate forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and reporting, including taxation, GST, FBT, and Payroll Tax.
  • Lead change, innovation, and continuous improvement in systems, work processes, and practices to achieve operational efficiencies.
  • Manage, lead, and develop a growing finance team, maintaining and improving existing performance dashboards for key staff.
  • Partner with the senior leadership team on strategic growth initiatives and lead various projects, including significant integrations and the implementation of new systems and upgrades.
  • Certain IT and commercial projects.
About You
  • Previous CFO experience in a commercial role.
  • A university degree and either a CA/CPA qualification.
  • Strong examples of Financial, Operational, Commercial, and Strategic Leadership.
  • An interest and understanding of tools available to streamline the finance function.
  • A strong understanding of complex groups and structures.
  • Advanced skills using Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software (Xero).
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
