Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our NSW Executive Team.

About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading our finance and support services team, providing financial analysis and advice, and partnering with department heads to craft budgets and drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with St Vincent's leaders to foster a partnership approach and ensure strong alignment between hospital operations and the finance function.
  • Develop and implement a collaborative and robust budgeting and forecasting process to achieve financial objectives.
  • Advance appropriate systems and structures to ensure the provision of robust and relevant financial advice, support, and regular financial reporting to staff.
  • Deliver against annually agreed financial and operational performance targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promote professional development, and ensure the team's alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ensure optimal structures and processes are in place for achievement of financial improvement initiatives and maintain a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation to support financial sustainability.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience leading a finance and support services team, providing financial analysis and advice, and partnering with department heads to craft budgets and drive financial performance.

The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of financial management principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
