Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control strategies to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and consumer groups to develop clinical practice standards and evaluate their outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to healthcare staff on infection prevention and control practices.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in accreditation processes.
Requirements
  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • 3 years relevant Full Time equivalent post-registration experience and approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in Infection Prevention and Control, with a focus on leadership and team management.
