Job Title: Technology Developer

Orica is shaping the future of mining through digital and automated technologies. We are seeking a developer to join our Digital Solutions team, where you will work with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative customer-centric solutions.

About the Role

This role involves designing and implementing advanced algorithms, crafting seamless user experiences, and working within a flexible remote setup that encourages teamwork and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing advanced algorithms for computationally intensive tasks
  • Crafting seamless and engaging user experiences
  • Working with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, UX, and Subject Matter Experts to build next-generation 3D blast design tools
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in C# or similar programming languages
  • Experience with large 3D datasets and spatial algorithm development
  • Understanding of 3D rendering fundamentals and low-level graphics APIs such as OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan
  • User interface and workflow design experience, with a focus on usability and performance
  • Ability to write high-performance algorithms
  • Proven success in cross-functional team environments
  • Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Familiarity with 3D modelling or CAD tools
