Job Title: International Trade Specialist

About IIQAF

IIQAF is seeking an experienced International Trade Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary:$65,000 - $90,000 per year

Job Description

The International Trade Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely import and export of goods. This includes preparing and submitting customs documentation, calculating duties and taxes, and coordinating with government agencies and third-party service providers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit customs documentation to ensure compliance with local customs laws and regulations.
  • Calculate and verify duties and taxes for accurate financial assessment.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and third-party service providers to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and certifications.
  • Advise clients on efficient shipping methods considering cost, time, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Conduct audits of import and export records to identify discrepancies or potential compliance issues.
  • Manage the release of goods from customs custody and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international trade or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Customs Broker with a strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of tariff schedules, preferential trade agreements, and customs valuation methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using customs software and electronic systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and government agencies.
