Job Title

A financial control specialist is needed to oversee daily P&L production and analysis, month-end accounting, General Ledger balance sheet reconciliations, and special tasks across various products.

The ideal candidate will maintain a strong control framework around financial reporting and develop relationships with Front Office, Risk, and Operations to promote Product Control as a trusted partner.

You'll report to Senior Manager Fixed Income & Rates Product Control and work closely with Global Markets, Risk Management, and Finance areas globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Interest Rates & Derivatives desks product control
  • Review daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L results and analysis
  • Lead junior team members
  • Partner with Front Office on strategic desk initiatives
  • Evaluate accuracy and integrity of product source system data
  • Review balance sheet substantiation and month-end ledger close
  • Prepare statutory and regulatory reports
  • Ongoing enhancements to improve efficiency and controls
  • Lead project work
Requirements

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • An accounting background
  • 2+ years' experience in product control or financial control
  • Experience controlling traded financial products
  • A good working knowledge of Murex trading system
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards
  • VBA, SQL, Tableau Prep, PowerBI, Alteryx, or other analytical and automation tools
  • The ability to problem-solve, multitask, manage competing deadlines
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or an equivalent discipline
  • An accounting qualification - CPA, CA, CFA, or similar
