About the Role


In this exciting opportunity, you will be working closely with line leadership to provide coaching, technical expertise, direction and advice on safety risk management, field leadership and event & investigation quality. You will be responsible for supporting line management in their accountability for Health & Safety risk assessments, event investigation, field leadership and compliance to relevant Health & Safety requirements.


Key Responsibilities



  • Support the operation in the delivery of Safety improvement initiatives, aligned to the Integrated Operations Plan (IOP); coupled with accurate and transparent Health & Safety reporting
  • Monitor the quality of Health & Safety risk assessments, event investigation and field leadership, encouraging a strong culture of learning and embedment of safety improvements;
  • Deliver safety training programs to the Operations i.e. task based risk management, non-significant event investigation facilitation
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety performance through ongoing engagement with site leaders, encouraging and coaching quality field verifications and demonstrating expected standards

You will be a self-motivated professional with a solid record of accomplishment of achieving results through influence, coaching and mentoring. You will work hard, have fun and support the team to achieve our collective goals.


Requirements



  • A proven passion for safety and a culture of care;
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Health and Safety or related field;
  • Strong interpersonal, attention to detail and communication skills with an ability to influence at multiple levels in safety;
  • Coaching and mentoring skills with a genuine desire to help people, achieve solid outcomes and support continuous improvement;
  • Experience and a high level of competence in Microsoft Power BI and other data analytics platforms, such as Excel and Event Management System (EMS);
  • Ability to self-motivate, manage priorities and consume data to effectivity deliver safety support;
