**Job Title:** Senior Technical Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Operator. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Team Leader with leadership responsibilities, process improvement, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise shift operations in a small team fabricating electronic RFID readers.
  • Monitor and support factory performance, machinery operation, and quality inspection.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and respond promptly to operator requests.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning.
  • Promote production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, and waste reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental Health & Safety policies and proactively report hazards.
  • Assist the Team Leader with task planning and technician support.
  • Complete production reports and maintain clear communication and records.
  • Maintain production area tidiness aligned with 5S and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Raise maintenance issues promptly and monitor product quality, isolating defects.
  • Report disruptions and recommend improvements to procedures, machinery, and training.
  • Lead improvement initiatives and support performance management and training.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing teams in production is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and PC proficiency.
  • Emotional intelligence, empathy, resilience, and adaptability.
