Job Description:

The role of State Distribution Manager plays a crucial part in the overall management of product lines within the distributor network. This involves achieving targeted sales and contribution margin through effective utilisation of promotional funds, agreed distribution of products, and negotiation of promotional activity.

The State Distributor Manager acts as a product line advisor, applying the principles of range/category management while ensuring business objectives are met.

This role also entails acting as a coach and mentor for Area Sales Representatives, assisting with promotional planning, financial management, and range optimisation.

About You:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or relevant discipline preferred
  • Experience in Foodservice, Sales, or related FMCG industry required
  • Demonstrated IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite necessary
  • Substantial demonstrated account management experience essential
  • Ability to work closely with Sales Manager - Northern, as well as operate autonomously
  • Strong planning and organisational skills required
  • High-level business acumen necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships aligned to customer focus and business plans
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills required
