About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to join our team at the National Indigenous Australians Agency. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and support to our staff and managers across a range of HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to staff and managers on a range of HR matters, including employment conditions, employee health and wellbeing, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to support the Agency's business objectives and goals.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to identify and address HR-related issues and opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform HR decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their HR knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Agency's diversity and inclusion strategy.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR role, preferably in a government agency or similar organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
