About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coordinator to lead our BRAND NEW Outside School Hours Care service, Helping Hands St Helens State School, located in Maryborough.

About the Service

The Coordinator will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. The Coordinator will have the support of a state-specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor the Coordinator at the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art, and craft.
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service, including compliance and administration.

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 35 hours per week, including 6 non-contact administration hours. The Coordinator will work across split shifts to support the service's operating hours of Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 8:45am (Rise then Shine Program) and 2:30pm – 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program). The Coordinator can work block shifts during the school holidays too.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with kids.
  • Has experience leading a team.
  • Has strong and clear communication.
  • Is a team player with a desire to become a service leader.
  • Has or is willing to obtain a national police check and a state check for working with children.
  • Has Australian work rights.
  • Is qualified or enrolled in a Diploma or Higher qualification in Education, Childcare, Humanities, Allied Health, Sport, Drama, or similar.
