About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Yourtown. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a group of young trainees in various grounds and garden maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of grounds and garden maintenance tasks, including mowing, mulching, weeding, and soft landscaping.
  • Manage, mentor, and train a group of young trainees to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Lead by example and foster a sense of independence and wellbeing among team members.
  • Ensure contract specifications and scheduling requirements are being met.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, and promote a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in grounds or garden maintenance.
  • Recognised industry/trade qualification (preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WHS requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with trainees and customers.
  • Current white card and first aid certificate or ability to obtain.
