Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a long-term cyber security strategy to promote secure systems
  • Respond to incidents, establish standards and controls, manage security technologies, and direct policy implementation
  • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested
  • Review and approve security policies, controls, and incident response planning
  • Approve the purchase of security products and services
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Plan robust security architectures for IT projects
  • Coordinate information security awareness and training programs

The Successful Applicant

A successful Cyber Security Strategist should have:

  • Experience in developing and promoting cyber security frameworks, enhancing security policies, and implementing strategies
  • Experienced in implementing cyber security controls and Essential Eight framework
  • Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, network protocols, and security infrastructure
  • Experience in managing vulnerabilities and incident management
  • Knowledge in cloud security, security networks, and design is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical staff
  • CISSP qualification is an advantage
